Chocolate Butterscotch Rice Krispie Treats

1 c granulated sugar
1 c light corn syrup
1 c creamy peanut butter
5.5 c crisp rice cereal (rice krispies)
1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c butterscotch flavored chips
  • Combine sugar & syrup in a large sauce pan. Bring just to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter.
  • Stir in cereal.
  • Press into greased 9x13 pan.
  • Microwave chocolate & butterscotch chips on HIGH for 1 minute & stir. Continue to microwave & stir in 20 second intervals until smooth.
  • Spread over cereal.
  • Chill in pan for 20 minutes or until firm.
